Call varies in setting and frequency depending on the academic year. PGY-1 call averages between every 4 days while on medical rotations and every 7 days while on psychiatry rotations. PGY-2’s take call every 7 to 8 days on average, as well as nightfloat for 3-4 weeks total over the academic year. PGY-3 are on call every 14 days. PGY-4s take call from home every 14 days to provide teaching and support to underclassman.
