CITI TRAINING

All investigators and research personnel participating in the conduct of human-subject research must complete the PHRC approved basic education program developed by the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI).

The CITI program is comprehensive and provides case-based learning of ethical concepts and regulations in a web-based learning environment. The Basic Course is the first step of the process. The Basic Course takes between 4 and 6 hours to complete. But the program allows you to leave and come back and saves your place in the process. Additionally, all researchers and their staff are required to complete the CITI Refresher Course every three years. The refresher course takes approximately one hour to complete.
